This photograph of the very young Marianne was taken in about 1960, so she would have been about 16 years old.  She was still attending St Joseph's Convent School in Reading, this was long before her recording debut.

I have scanned the original transparency at a high resolution onto my computer, and processed the image with Photoshop, removing dust marks and minor scratches.  Quite large prints can be made, and with the excellent printing inks and papers that are available make it possible to get the very best out of the Kodachrome film stock, with its rich saturated colours and soft tones.
